I've been practicing with Tom for over a decade. He is truly a master at articulating yoga. His detailed and precise instructions fostered my love of yoga and inspired me to learn as much as I could about the practice, which led to me enrolling in teacher training with him. As a teacher training instructor, Tom ensured we understood the nuances and functions of the asanas, the varieties and benefits of pranayama, and the history and application of the philosophy. I graduated feeling completely prepared to teach my own classes and was quickly hired to do so. Most importantly, Tom aims for all his students to ENJOY yoga. Yoga is meant to bring joy to our lives, and Tom's teacher training and group classes, while challenging, bring laughter and fellowship - something we all need more of in our lives. I am truly grateful to call him my teacher.

I have been practicing yoga for ~15 years, with different instructors. I have found Tom to be the most knowledgeable about body movement and muscle action. He is very effective at communicating the nuances of a pose from a physiologic perspective. As an orthopedic physical therapist, I have frequently used his verbal cues with my patients to engage the proper muscles. And, he makes yoga FUN and engaging. He definitely gets my day off to a great start!

Tom,
It feels right to stop and say thank you. I don't know that I've ever fully articulated how much your classes and your mentorship meant to me. Learning yoga from you and coming into the studio all those early mornings was a true anchor for me during a turbulent time in my life. When the student is ready the teacher appears, and you were the teacher I needed. Thank you for the wisdom, the friendship, and the incredibly strong foundation for what I hope to be a lifetime of yoga practice. You are an important part of my growth, and I will always be grateful.
Hugs,
Amy
If you step into one of Tom Larkin's classes, you can expect to not only get an amazing workout, but laugh and be entertained. One word to describe Tom is "hilarious," but another word is "caring." Tom can somehow focus on each one of his students in a 20-person class. He manages to make everyone feel welcome – but don't worry, he will catch you if you are "cheating" in a hard pose. Oh, yeah, and Tom is an incredible yogi who can jump into challenging poses without even warming up

Tom's Vinyasa Level 1 class makes exercise enjoyable for me. I've lost weight as a result and I enjoy the calm and relaxation after a session.
