About Live Rara

Live RaRa was born from a simple belief: when we move well, we live well.

We’re not just here to build strength or flexibility—we’re here to ignite energy, restore clarity, and reconnect you to your body’s natural intelligence. Movement is the medium. Vitality is the message.

Through OMFAY (Optimal Movement Fitness and You), we combine functional strength training, yoga-inspired breathwork (pranayama), mindfulness, and traditional fitness practices to recalibrate body and mind. Our approach is also influenced by a diverse range of movement systems—from martial arts to somatic therapy—to ensure your training is as dynamic as you are.

Your Human Performance Coach brings together breath, movement, focus, and nutrition to help offset the pace of modern life and return you to your natural rhythm.

Whether you’re a lifelong athlete, an active professional, or someone ready to feel better in your own skin—we’re here to support your evolution.

This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about alignment.
Let’s move forward, together.

The purpose of yoga and fitness is to enact change, whether in how we think, act, or live. More importantly, their purpose is to help us evolve. A teacher serves as a guide to assist you on your journey of growth and self-discovery. They walk alongside you on your unique path toward becoming your best self.

John Charping, my first teacher, inspired me to enroll in Southern Institute of Yoga Instructors' rigorous 1000-hour teacher training program. This experience made me realize I had been practicing yoga's principles through art, sports, music, and philosophy my whole life.

Shiva Rea, my second teacher, guided me to new heights of personal growth over 12 years of study. Assisting her worldwide was amazing and holds cherished memories.

This evolutionary path led to co-founding Sanctuary for Yoga, Body & Spirit in Nashville, Tennessee with former wife Daphne Larkin. For 17 years, together we nurtured Sanctuary into a leading studio renowned for exceptional classes, workshops, and teacher trainings.

My most recent teacher, Maty Ezraty, innovatively reintroduced me to incorporating movement modalities that revolutionized my practice. This reinvigorated my perspective and approach to teaching yoga and fitness, leading to the development of Optimal Movement Fitness and Yoga (OMFaY) - now Live RaRa.

I am currently enjoying my newest phase of life with Beth, my beloved wife, our wonderful son Torston, and my two incredible stepsons. When not brainstorming ideas, training clients, or being with my family, I like to cook, ski, swim, and study the philosophies of India, Egypt, and Christianity.
